A Great Hull - $6,000 ONO
This is a Classic Huon pine double ender. The hull is 28' 5'' LOD, 9' 3'' beam and draws 5'6''. It has external lead and internal ballast.
Since I have had it I have taken it back to bare wood inside and out, put in sister ribs, replaced garboards, put in stringers, replaced the deck, the cockpit and coachhouse with ply and epoxy cloth and it has been completely refastened.
It has a new rudder with most of the hardware and a solid spruce mast, boom and hardware. It is a salty looking hull which has previously sailed to the Pacific islands and back.
All of the hard work has been done and now requires an internal fit out and rigging which would take a couple of months od dedicated work. It is a fantastic opportunity to purchase a traditional doubled ended hull that would look and perform well with a gaff cutter rig.
The hull sits on a slipping trailer which acts as a cradle and allows easy transportation on a wide load truck avoiding the cost of cranes.
P.S Please note when reviewing the photos the brown stains on the keel are from Ormnoid bedding.
