History |
The dinghy was built in the early 1900's by the famous Percival George COVERDALE at Hobart in Tasmania. It was later owned by a neighbour of the current owner, Bruce SAULT (83 years old). Bruce is carpenter by trade and has built two boats. His neighbour lent Bruce the dinghy to use as a tender for his larger vessel. During that time Bruce restored the dinghy and after some time purchased it. The last 60 years history of the boat is known by Bruce. |

Comments |
The boat is constructed of King Billy pine with sheoak knees. It is a delight to row and could easily be set up to sail. It has a mast (not original), a center board box, self draining plugs in the hull and a huon pine tiller and rudder. It has a custom steel trailer and has been stored under cover when not in use. The boat is listed for sale for a new owner to love and cheerish for another 60 years |
