History

Unfortunately, the Josupa was destroyed by fire during renovations after it was sold to a new owner in the 1970's. The Josupa was a boat much loved by the 2 families that I know of who owned her. My father John Twycross purchased this former fishing boat from Ted Callinan, his brother in law. The boat was named after my cousins, John, Sue and Pat. They spent happy years sailing, swimming, and fishing on the Josupa at Warneet, as did our family Peter, Chris, and Bill on Port Phillip Bay a few years later. This was notably before the invention of speed boats. The Josupa was anchored at Rye. She was an original Couta boat from Queenscliff.
