History

Yanergee is an ex-military work boat numbered AM410 and is listed as an Australian Historic vessel.
She was one of about 50 workboats built in 1942 by the Australian Army to navigate into beaches and rivers of New Guinea during WWII in order to deliver water to the troops, supplies and evacuate sick and injured to the mother ship. Yanergee retired from active duty in 1981.
The current owners have had the vessel since June 2006.
The craft was built from Halvorsen design with double-planked construction. For their size, these Army vessels were a very sturdy and committed to extensive sea-going voyages.
Over the past 6 years the vessel has had an extensive refit including the hull being stripped, re-caulked and painted as well as a new shaft and stern tube were installed.
Yanergee was taken out of the water In October 2012 for hull repairs/repaint and antifouled.
